I've mentioned before a time or two that I have a collection of scripture verses and faithful inspirational photos on Pinterest. When I'm feeling a bit blue or overly anxious, I like to scroll through these pins to remind myself of the Lord's promises. Pinterest now suggests other pins based on your browsing history. I typically see recommendations of classroom ideas, farmhouse decor - thanks, Fixer Upper! - and, of course, scripture art. I was lazily scrolling through the site today, wasting time more than actually searching, when this photo popped up.
My heart nearly leapt from my chest. I needed to see this today. Like, NEEDED this. I'm now in my 30s. Lately, thoughts of, "I should have my life together by now! Im falling way behind!", and, "I'm so far from where God is leading me, and I feel like I'm just spinning my wheels!"
But just like Zaccheaus's sycamore, God puts things in place for our journey, long before we ever reach that point. What I see as a fruitless trial may actually get me one step closer to His perfect plan.
It may seem silly, but I know that photo was a gift from God. I am #grateful that He speaks to us in subtle ways right when we need it!
