I don't know if I have mentioned this before, but I have a tendency to be just a trifle judgmental. It's one of my many faults, probably the one I struggle with the most. Like many of my critical kinfolk, I often disguise my opinions as concern for the other person, without recognizing it myself. I tell myself that, as a Christian, one of the chosen children of God, I just want what is best for others. It's Satan's way of sneaking sin into our lives, to take our vices and make them seem like virtues.
Thankfully, God teaches lessons through scripture that are designed specifically for our needs.
I was reading the daily scripture verses the other day, as I do every morning. The reading from the Old Testament was Exodus 14:5-18, when the Israelites had left Egypt and Pharaoh became angry and followed them with his soldiers. I came across this verse:

Holy Spirit 2x4! I am not the only child of God. In fact, Christians are not the only children of God. We ALL are His people, whether we believe it or not. Right here in His Word is proof! Pharaoh was not one who followed the Lord. As king of Egypt, he was worshipped as the sun god Ra incarnate. But the Lord made him and loved him, regardless of his faults.
God loves each one of us the same, no matter our religious affiliation or lack thereof. It is my mission to allow Him to love others through me despite my personal feelings. I'm #grateful that God meets me where I am and that He is working on my judgmental heart!
