Mark 10:46-52 tells us of the blind man, Bartimaeus, who was begging on the roadside in Jericho. When he heard Jesus' voice, Bartimaeus called out to Him, pleading that Jesus return his vision. The people around him tried to quiet the beggar, but Jesus stopped and beckoned him.
So they called the blind man, saying to him, "Take courage; get up, Jesus is calling you." He threw aside his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus. - Mark 10:49
Ask yourself, is this how I come to Christ when He calls me? When I cry out in pain to Christ and He calls me to Him, do I jump up and rush to Him? It doesn't matter what your struggle, listen for Christ's voice to lead you to healing.
I pray that I can follow in Bartimaeus' footsteps and throw aside the cloak of my pain and meet my Lord with blind faith. And I am truly #grateful for the promise of eternal healing one day!
